What Causes Does A Painful Knot On The Back Indicate?

I have been having sever pains on my right side in my back. I have been tested for urinalysis for a uti , kidney stone and bladder infection and has came back negative. There is small knot there, and is painful to the touch, what can be causing the pain?

Hello,

The painful knot may be due to a muscular pain. When the muscles are painful sometimes knots can happen in the area due to muscular fibers being hurt.
You may need to take some paracetamol and ibuprofen and apply local warm compresses in the area. Seeing a physiotherapist might be a good idea as well.
