What Causes Drainage From The Ears Post A Tympanoplasty Mastoidectomy?

My father is 64 year old and had under went a Tympanoplasty Mastoidectomy surgery 2 years back. But 6 months post surgery, there have been discharge from the ear. He is prescribed antibiotics which works for few days to keep the ear dry, but the discharge reoccur. He keeps good care of his ear and doesn t let water to get in. His doctor says the ear drum is intact. Please advise what can be a permanent solution to cure the discharge.

Hello,

I think you should take an appointment with ENT and he is going to see which is the best treatment for your condition.Maybe you need to make another surgery because it seems like a reinfection.
