Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Drainage Of White Liquid In Between The Knee And Ankle?
I have white stuff on my lower legs... between the knee and the ankle... it started out red... then got bumpy... and now this white stuff it is sorta slimy feeling and seems like it has water on it... on top of it... my legs are leaking both of them and both of them have this white stuff... it sorta looks bubbly at times and other times just like it was mayo spread on my leg...
The symptoms seem to be related to a bacterial infection.
A physical examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis. If the diagnosis is confirmed, I suggest to start a cycle of antibiotics such as Augmentin twice a day for a week.
I also suggest to clean the area with hydrogen peroxide and cover it with an antibiotic cream.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
