What Causes Dripping From Left Nostril?

Hi I have been dripping thru my left nostril for months. It is clear and tastes salty, I went to the ent he took a ct scan but everything was clear. He told me to go in and give him the fluid that is coming out of my nose to be tested. What could it be? It s getting to be annoyed when I am bending lying down and when I stand, my nose is getting red from the drips. Thank u

Hello. Welcome to hcm
You are probably suffering from CSF leak which is why your doctor did ct scan and asking you to give fluid for examination.
It means a hole in covering of brain and fluid which protects brain is leaking
It has to be managed as soon as possible as infection can travel back to brain.
I advise you to give fluid for analysis, meet ENT specialist, get endoscopy of nose and get treated accordingly.
All the best
