My sister just went through a test for colonscopy. The doctor informed her that her heart rate dropped during the testing procedure. She was given an injection to speed heart rate up. She thought it was something like "acupene". So I was trying to research

Hi,

During colonoscopy heart rate can drop due to reflex. There are many nerves in colon, which are connected with the heart and there is a reflex which can induce low heart rate.
There is nothing to worry as it was sporadic. And I don't think that it will happen again.
