What Causes Drowsiness And Vomiting Post Intake Of Duoluton?

Hi sir,This is Priya from India,Due to overbleeding for the last 3 months,doctor prescribed me Duoloton L for 21 days, yesterday night only i took this tablet , by 2 am in the early morning i felt drowsiness as well as vomiting..still the drowsiness is there..Can you Please tell me why this happens?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM,

Understanding your concern .As per your query you have drowsiness and vomiting post intake of Duoluton . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like low blood sugar and iron level , ear infection , side effect , benign paroxysmal positional vertigo or meniere's disease . But in your case the symptoms can also occur due to side effects of douluton. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain tests like CT scan , blood test , rotatory chair test , posturography and examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics ( gentamicine ) at least fora week , hearing aid and recommend vestibular therapy . Also consult doctor who prescribe douluton , ho may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . For now take proper rest , avoid bending forward , take a light walk daily and drink green tea thrice a day .
