Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been under a lot of stress lately, a house move and my husband passed away from complications with back surgery in the middle of it all. Now my rheumatoid arthritis is really acting up so I ve been taking Tylenol for Arthritis until my next infusion of Remicade on Thursday. But when I got up this morning I had my coffee and then had to go back to bed and just got up and now I feel like I have to go back to bed again, I can barely keep my eyes open.
There are many different causes of daytime drowsiness. In general, anything which delays, interrupts, or shortens your sleep has the potential to cause drowsiness during the day. I want to underline that Drowsiness is not a common side effect of Tynelol or Acetaminophen. So, in my opinion, this drug is not the cause of your actual symptom. You mention that you have been under a lot of stress lately. Stress, Depression and anxiety can all contribute to excessive sleepiness. Considering your description, I think that these are the potential culprit of your actual symptom. Anyway, my advice is to consult physically your local doctor, if your new symptom persists, for the right diagnosis and treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
