What Causes Dry And Dark Patches On Torso?
Hi, I have had dry, dark (or white depending on location) patches all over my torso. I know it s a skin fungus, but I really would like to know What it s called & how to treat it. My brother & I call them out cheetah spots because that s what they look like. They itch sometimes if I ve been sweating quite a bit or if my skin gets too dry. Do you think you could give me a name for what this condition is & is it hereditary (my brother, father, & uncle also have this condition).

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is tinea corporis which is a fungal infection. You must avoid heat and humidity. Topical antifungal creams like clotrimazole can be used along with oral antifungals like fluconazole after consulting your dermatologist. Avoid wearing wet clothes. Avoid sharing towel and clothes. Antihistamines like fexofenadine may also be used after consulting your dermatologist. Regards
