What Causes Dry And Stuffy Nose At Night?

During the night my nose becomes very dry. Hard to breathe through the nose because it s so stuffy. I wake up every morning with the worst dry, stuffy nose that produces dry, sore, bloody boogers. It is so very painful, even if I gently touch the outside of nose. This happens quite frequently and is always worse in the winter. Please help me... I put coconut oil on the inside of my nose , on the sores frequently but this only brings temporary relif.

Hi,

Dry and stuffy nose is caused by common cold. Which caused increased secretion of mucus and swelling of the nasal mucosa due to allergic reaction. This can be treated by anti allergen or anti histamine. There us always almost associated with fever and headache and analgesics are very important. If fever persists. then antibiotics may be included in management.
