What Causes Dry Cough And Chest Pain?

Hello Doc.. I am 30 , male from India.. In March / April this year , I had got common cold/throat infections with runny / blocked nose , fever , throat pain etc from which I soon recovered with medicines .. But some weeks later , got following chest related issues : - Dry cough which later become mucus type - Pain/Tightess in chest upon coughing or taking deep breath - Fever (100-101°) from which I soon recovered after taking medicine for 2-3 days (antibiotic , paracetamol etc) which were prescribed by a GP. Few weeks later again , I experienced above 3 symptoms..GP prescribe same medications alongwith prescribing blood test for Typhoid(came out normal) , Thyroid(came out normal) , WBC (bit elevated at 12,500) and Total Eosinophil Count (came out normal) .. Took medicines for 2-3 days and again got well.. Now from past 1 month , I have been having following issues intermittentlly/after every few days - feeling malaise / feverish feel - lump kinda sensation behind mouth / tongue which I tried many times to spit out but just cant - very slight nausea feeling While almost daily especially in morning , I am feeling mucus/choking kinda uncomfortableness in my throat which I tried to spit out but couldnt get much.. I should clarify that : - I do not have any problem in swallowing food etc even when I experience lump kind sensation or mucus/throat choking type feeling - I do not experience shortness of breath etc - I do not have cough - I am experiencing weight gain (but probably due to physical inactivity & eating fatty/outside foods past few months as thyroid test also turned out normal) - I am otherwise healthy other than having some good acid reflux , heartburn etc issues from past few months.. What should I do of this malaise , throat mucus & lump kinda sensation ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi!
Thanks for asking HCM.
Looking into your description given above I feel that your immunity has been compromised since last one year due to which you are falling sick repeatedly.
I strongly advise you to work on that. secondly, lump kind of a sensation that you are describing could be because of a tonsillitis, polyps, pharyngitis, or laryngitis.
ADVICE:
1. See a good physician to rule out the above causes of obstruction in your throat.
2. Meanwhile take paracetamol, antihistamine, and decongestant to relieve your symptoms.
3. Increase your intake of fresh fresh fruits and vegetables.
4. take 1 tsp turmeric with a pinch of black pepper, add it to your daily meal to increase your immunity against infection.
5. take wheat grass powder or capsule to get rid of acidity and indigestion.

Take care.
Thanks.
