What Causes Dry Cough?

hello sir,from last 10 months i m suffering from dry cough smetimes it get worse i used to tke medicine bt still it remain problem .please suggest me what shall i do .some doctors say me i hve asthma problem some say that have chronic bronchitis .please guide me what shall i do

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dry cough since 10 months which seems to be due to chest infection/ chronic upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles. You shoukd take cough expectorants. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin in combination with antiallergic medication. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get chest X-ray done and start treatment after proper diagnosis have been made. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.
