What Causes Dry Coughing With History Of Pleurisy?
I have a dry cough, seem to cough more than others around me, but it's not constant, also have chest pain on left side which seems to be isolated, sometimes feels better when pressure is applied or if I'm laying on my right side. Have had these symptoms for several weeks - no fever. In the past have had bouts with pleurisy. Am not a smoker, but grew up with smoking parents. 50 yrs/female.
A pleural thickening leads to this type of pain and dry Cough, do a spirometry followed by DLCO (Diffusing capacity of lungs for carbon monoxide). We will definitely get a clue.
Compare previous chest x-ray with a fresh one for any new lesion something.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
