What Causes Dry, Discolored Spot On Inside Of Lower Lip?

I have a spot on the inside of my lower lip that is discolored and feels strange. About the only way I can describe it would be dry. It feels dry compaired to the rest of the inside of my lip. Is this anything I should be worried about? Somedays are worse than others but it's been there for a couple months.
