What Causes Dry Eyes Along With Dizziness And Sore Throat?

I had surgery 6 days ago for a peri rectal fistula. I was given Tramadol for pain, and Metronidazole. I am healing fine from my surgery, and feeling better until Friday. What started off as dry eyes is now bright neon red bloodshot eyes, weeping, grittiness and they are swollen and hot to the touch. I stopped the meds yesterday, but now have this severe (appears to be) allergic reaction to god only know what. I am little headed, dizzy, sore throat and irritated sinuses today as well. I have no known air borne allergy so I am mystified to what this might be. Please advise- but I am calling my doctor tomorrow.

As per your query you have symptoms of dry eyes along with dizziness and sore throat which seems to be due to upper respiratory track infection. In your case the symptoms are due to viral infection. You should take paracetamol to prevent fever along with combination of decongestants and multivitamin tablet. Sip on warm water whole day and avoid spicy and sharp food , also put artifical tears in eyes. Your symptoms will resolve in 5-7 days. Doing yoga and meditation will be very helpful. If your symptoms keeps on persisting the visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. You should get blood and throat swab tests done. Start treatment after complete examination. Drink warm milk with pinch of turmeric powder.
