What Causes Dry Mouth Along With Headaches And Ringing In Ears?

I have been taking percocet 10/325 q6 for 2 years now. the past week I have had extreme dry mouth, ringing ears, headache, dizziness and blurry vision. When it wears off, it takes quite a while for it to resolve. I have been drinking fluids, but not helping. What should I do?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dry mouth along with headaches and ringing in ears which is because of streptococcal infection leading to strep throat. It is leading to granular pharyngitis and there is spread of infection through eustachian tube leading to ringing in ears. Need not to worry much. I would advise you to take few preventive measures such as do warm saline gargles on daily basis 3- 4 times a day. Visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. Go for blood tests along with that get chest x-ray done. You should go for sputum test as well. You should drink plenty of fluids. Take supplements rich in vitamin B12 to booster immunity. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Take proper antibiotic course such as Levofloxacin for 5-7 days. Take anti-inflammatory drugs such as Sinarest as well.
