What Causes Dry Mouth Besides Medication?

Hi, I am looking for a webpage to post on about perpetually dry mouth. it has nothing to do with being thirsty. I am beginning to see more and more people complain about the same problem. I feel I am suffering from a lack of saliva production. There are some brands of water that cause dry mouth more and faster than others. This just does not make sense. If I am at a party and bring up the topic of dry mouth, and everyone there says they have the same thing, it cannot be our medication, or our brand of water. I am just wondering what could be causing this, besides medication, the logical conclusion, or diabetes, which my neices do not have.

The dry mouth can be because of many reasons like stones in the slaivary gland duct, secondary to drugs like antihypertensives, atropine, and systemic conditions like diabetes. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can use topical atificial salivary substitutes like carboxy methyl cellulose. Once the diagnosis is confirmed we can treat accordingly.
