What Causes Dry Mucous Discharge With Blood In Nose?
Last couple of weeks I have been experiencing dried blood in my nose mucus. Not having a blood nose just when I blow it to clear the blockages it comes out dried and sometimes fresh. This is throughout the whole day. More in the morning but consistent right through to the night. I have had a history of ear issues and wonder if this could be related. I have read up on this and a lot of people are saying it could be due to drier weather (it is heading into winter here). Just want to know if I should seek a medical examination about this matter given my history? Thanks.

It seems to be traumatic according to your history, need antibiotic for few days. Also, do you have any history of drugs, blood pressure, vitamin K?
Yes, dry weather too can lead to this, avoid hard nose blowing, sneezing with open mouth (use nasal saline spay), avoid hot showers, spicy foods and aspirin, NSAIDs tablets. CBC, APTT, PTI blood tests help with diagnosis. Use ice pack, digital pressure 5-10 mins, deep relaxing breathing, Oxymetazoline drops, nasal saline drops, Bacitracin or Mupirocin ointment.
