What Causes Dry Red Spots With White Speckles On The Lips Post Injury?

ONE WEEK AGO I HAD A HARD FALL,WENT DOWNHARD HURT LEG ,HEAD BOUNCED AND THAN CAME DOWN HARD ON MY UPPER LIP, APPLIED ICE , NO BLEEDING AND LATER WHEN I LOOKED THERE WERE TWO RED ARES LG RED OVALS. VERY PAINFUL . THE LAST FEW DAYS IT'S LIGHTENED ALOT BUT STILL STINGING AND LOOKS LIKE SOME WHITE SPECKLES IN THE AREA PLUS LIPS SEEM DRY AND PRICKLEY.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that due to sudden traumatic injury there has been traumatic injury to the soft tissues of the lips leading to ruptured blood vessels and the red oval areas and pain seems to be due to accumulation of blood into the soft tissues as well as inflammation of the tissues..

White speckles can be due to pus formation as the area might have got infected and dryness also seems to be due to infection..

I would suggest you to consult a General Physician or an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics to be taken orally along with topical application of antibiotic ointments along with numbing ointment to reduce stinging and pain..
Apply Petroleum jelly to lubricate the lips..
Do cool compresses over the lips..
Avoid licking, pressing the lips..
