Hi, I have a dry throat for a few months. I often need to kind of click my throat. Sometimes it gets so bad that if I breath deeply, I want to cough. I have tried to make sure I am not dehydrated but it is still there. It tends to be more on the right side of my throat.

Dry throat and coughing may be due to viral pharygitis or bronchitis or GERD or Post nasal drip etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use cough suppressant syrups. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
