What Causes Dry, Yellow Blister On The Toe Nail?

Hi. There was a patch of quite dry, yellow skin around the edge of one of my toes - not directly underneath my toenail, but it was visible as an extension, almost like a blister. It has recently popped, and smells very badly. What was it? And do I need to do anything to keep myself safe?

hi there.

1. your concern may be onychomycosis or paronychia.

2. it may be fungal infection superimposed with bacterial infection.

3. you require physical examination for diagnosis.

4. consult a dermatologist near by you in person until then start using tbact ointment twice daily on the affected nail. don't pick it.
