I have this feeling of dryness in my throat for about 2 months now, and unless i drink very cold water, it would'nt go; but then it comes back after a day or half a day. Drinking water does not help and I have this irritation inside the throat and have to swallow my saliva severally. what's this?
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The dryness in the throat can be secondary to the reduced salivary secretion. This can happen when there is obstruction or stone in the salivary gland ducts. Nothing to be panic, consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can use artificial salivary substitutes like carboxy methyl cellulose. I hope I have answered your query, take care.
