Hi I have dry inner lower lip that comes and goes I also get a reccurring ulcers on the inner lower lip very frequently. I'm not diabetic and I'm not on any medication. It's been going on for months now . The rest of my mouth is not dry just the innner lower lip
As per your complain dryness inside the inner lower lip with ulceration can be due to infection inside the lower lip that can be due to Herpes Virus infection causing cold sores.. It can commonly cause a dry and irritated feeling over the mucosa.. Secondly it can also be due to mouth breathing habit.. If you have chapped lower lip it can also cause dryness on the inner aspect of mucosa.. You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like oral swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. As of now you can apply glycerine over the mucosa.. You can also rink plenty of water..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
