What Causes Dryness, Itching And Burning Sensation On Face?

Hey i have asthma and eczema, about 5 months ago i had mild burning sensation on the face, itchyness, dry skin and swelling. Only prednisone seems to help (25mg) have tried coming off it however each time the symptoms return (going on 5 months). Doctors believe dust mite allergy, however i m not convinced. I have never had this reaction or symptoms before. In addition, have also had a few migraines in the past couple of weeks and a twitching upper lip (when i start to taper the prednisone) Any thoughts other than allergy?
