What Causes Dryness Of The Hair And Itching Of The Scalp?

Hi Doctor, i do head bath every day. If i am not doing the head bath every day my hair will become too dry and looks damaged. Itching will start and i see dandruff even i miss one day head bath. I feel since i am doing head bath every day i am loosing my hair while bath. Can you please clarify and suggest the solution to my problem? Thank you in advance.

Hello dear,
Welcome to healthcaremagic. I have read your query and understood your concern.
Dandruff is usually a recurrent condition.
I advice my such patients to use anti dandruff shampoo containing ketoconazole 2 percent on alternate day basis till it is completely resolved. Once it is cured, maintenance therapy is required so as to prevent its recurrence.
