What Causes Dull Discomfort In Front Of Head And Anxiety?

Hello,

I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I've had this dull head discomfort right in front and slightly above my ears. Not painful, just pressure. I had, what the doctors told me, was a panic attack twice last month. Had an ECHO, couple EKGs, and blood work done to rule out anything cardio related - which is what they concluded.

Now I'm worried I have a brain tumor. Reason being for the sudden onset of anxiety this past month as well as the dull headache. Any advice?

Hello welcome to HCM

I can understand your concern. You had sudden onset dull headache, discomfort behind ears and provisional diagnosis of panic was made. All investigations related to heart came normal like ECG, ECHO, Blood workup. The feelings and thoughts that are coming in your mind that you might have brain tumour and this is causing panic like symptoms are due to anxiety most probably. In my opinion there is no need to fear that these symptoms are related to cancer.

In most of tumour related headaches pain occur suddenly and usually severe throbbing type headache occurs. The headache occurs mostly in night during sleep and it wakes up individual from sleep. Intense sweating also occurs with pain. The pain you are having is totally different from tumour pain. No need to worry. Still you have doubt then visit a physician for evaluation and help. An MRI scan can help to rule out tumour and might relax you.
