What Causes Dull Pain In The Chest Along With Palpitations?

HI my name is Lisa Davidson and I have been having this problem with my heart for awhile and I haven t ever went and got it checked out but here is what my problem is sometimes I will get a dull pain in my heart but when this happens it always in the same place everytime and the pain is always the same but now it s started to beat kinda fast when I stand up or when I m just laying down what could this be

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you need to have serial EKG monitoring and if needed Holter monitoring for 24 hours can be placed to rule out any runs of arrhythmias.

Endocrine causes also need to be evaluated by having baseline Thyroid functions as well as sugar levels and if needed urinary catecholamines levels.

Serum electrolytes and renal functions should be monitored once too. Proper work up is recommended.
