What Causes Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding?

I am 15 months post partum and slowly stopping breast feeding but after a year of very consistent periods, I have been spotting the past 3 months twice a month. Is this hormone related? I had a pap in early Feb and everything was all clear. thank you

hello,
Yes, this can be related to hormonal changes. It can also be related to stress or thyroid factors. It may be helpful for you to be on birth control pills for a few months to get your periods regulated if this persists and you have stopped breast feeding
