What Causes Ear And Body Pain After EDG And Colonoscopy?

Hi, I had a EDG and Colonoscopy done yesterday and I have left ear ache accompanied with other aches due to taking samples. Is it normal? I had ulcer in my trout and stomach and a lot of inflammation in the intestines. I have been constantly, severely bloated since 2011 and dealt with severe fatigue and recurrent infections etc. Have seen many drs, Ent, neuro, psych, gyn, GI... I have received Enterogermina, Pantoprazol and zantac. Is there anything else which can make the sours get better sooner. They ache a lot. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The ear pain does not seem to be related to the colonoscopy. It can be related to an ear infection. A physical examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis. Meanwhile, I suggest using an anti inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen to relieve the ear pain. I also suggest to continue the medications as prescribed by your doctor to treat the gastrointestinal issues.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
