Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi, I noticed blood stains on the cotton bud on my right ear. I have had the same problem previously too, but thought it was due to using ear buds. but yesterday, it was a bit more. no other symptoms. sometimes I get a pain, during attacks of sinusitis
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain blood over the ear buds with a history of ear pain during sinusitis can be due to ear infection leading to inflammation inside the ear.. A mild stimulation that is being touched with ear bud can lead to bleeding.. I would suggest you to consult an ENT expert and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis.. In case if there is infection he can advise you antibiotics and anti-inflammatory painkillers.. Antibiotic ear drops like Gentamycin can also be advised..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
