What Causes Ear Infection Despite Taking Amoxicillin And Flucloxacillin?

I had my ear cleaned out and then got infection. I was given drops and oral amoxicillin. They didn t work so now flucloxacillin. Its my 3rd day and still in pain with no improvement. Should i see my gp now or wait for 7 days of capsules to finish? Should they be working by now??

Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
You should wait for 1-2 more days since 5 daysmay be necessary till antibiotic work,especially for ear infection. You should also take nose inhalation and avoid smoking and noisy areas.
