What Causes Ear Infection?

Hi, my son has been complaining of an earache for a little over a week, i took him to see my gp on and was told his ear was slightly inflamed but there was no concern and just to give him paracetamol, tonight he has a bright green pussy like discharge
he is 13 years old, 5ft 4", weight approx 9 stone and is autistic
please can you help

hi there he could be having an acute otitis for which he would need to take antibiotics and have his ears examined by an Ent specialist .
