What Causes Ear Pain After Using A Q-tip?

Hello, I am having some ear pain. I am having warmth around my ear opening, and it hurts when I pull or push on the lobe. It actually feels like there is a zit (!) in my ear canal. I have cleaned my ears and there was no wax. When I run a q-tip inside my ear, I feel a few points that feel very tender and hard.

As per your complain a small painful zit inside the ear canal along with warm feeling and tender points seems to be boils or furuncle inside the ear canal that can lead to pain and discomfort.
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and an Otoscopic examination can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
You can be advised to take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen as it will help in reducing inflammation and pain..
Soak a thick cotton cloth in warm water and hold it against the ear opening as it will help in reducing pain..
A t times if there is increased infection, antibiotics might be needed..
You can also be advised Otogesic ear drops..
