What Causes Ear Pain And Dry Throat At Night?

I ve been having ear pain and dry throat during the night and I m not sure why. I also can t sleep because of it and I m running out of ideas to stop it. I ve already been to the doctor they gave me stuff didn t really do anything for me. What would could I do to make the ear pain and dry throat stop?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of ear pain and dry throat at night which is because of eustachian tube dysfunction as ear infection which sometimes remain persistent.

Need not to worry. You should do warm saline gargles along with that take steam twice a day. Apply warm dry compresses to external ear. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once for proper diagnosis. Doctor may examine by otoscopic means to check level of infection. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin) at least for 10 days along with decongestant and anti inflammatory.
