Sir, I have middle year infection causing pain behind the left year which was operated twice after a gap of 10 years, the second one operation is done 10 years back. From that day onwards I am having pain behind the years. I have consulted doctors so many time, but did not get good result. Please advice me properly in this regard.
I presume you underwent a Mastoidectomy.. Sometimes the mastoid cavity gets infected. You need to be careful not to allow water to go inside. Also, I advise you to have a regular follow up with the surgeon, who will assess the mastoid cavity.Very rarely you may get the disease again... Another possibility is sometimes the small nerves supplying the skin , would have been severed, ( which is normal, nothing to worry). It may take sometimes cause paraesthesia or a tingling sensation around the nerves. There are a lot of possibilities, But none can be confirmed without examining in person.
