What Causes Earache While Suffering From Flu Type B?

Yes I have a question I was just at minute clinic and they told me I had flu type b and I told the nurse practitioner the I also had an ear ache so she looked in my ear and told me I had wax and she got something and tried to take it out was too painful so I told her that s ok. When I got home I was in a lot of pain in my ear. My left ear is ringing and clogged, and leaking brown fluid right now 2 days later more fluid is coming out . Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It sounds like you may have an infection in the ear canal. It should be okay to wait one day, but I would not wait any longer than that. If the pain is severe, then you should be seen today.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kathy Robinson
