What Causes Early And Long Periods?

Dear Sir, I have been married since last 3 months and having regular intercourse. I had regular periods last two months. however this month my period started on 14th march which happened actually 8 days before and is still on. i never had such a long period. Is there anything wrong. Do i need to consult a doctor?
