What Causes Early Periods And Spotting?

Hello. I've had an Paragard IUD for almost 4 years now without experiencing any side effects. No prolonged period, heavy cramping, nothing like that. This month I had a period that came two weeks early and now I'm spotting randomly and always after sex. Any ideas as to the cause?
