What Causes Early Periods?

Hi, I am 28 years old. I have been married for over a year, and off birth control for about 3 years. I got my period on April 30th, and it lasted for about 5 days, and now I got it again this morning. Its very early, almost 10 days. And it is always pretty much exact give or take a day. Should I schedule an appointment with my PCP?
