What Causes Easy Exhaustion Upon Exertion While Recovering From Pneumonia?

I'm 67 years old. When my temp went to 103 four weeks ago I went to dr to check on my "cold." Pretty bad case of pneumonia. Antibiotics and inhaler started working pretty fast. Now I'm getting back to normal, but if I try to run uphill about 30 yards, it really does me in and I have to sit down and rest. We're 4 weeks out from diagnosis. At 67 years old, is still getting worn out if I run or skip normal? How long does it take to get back to my normally active lifestyle?

Hi,
This problem is common after having bad pneumonia due to soreness and infection in lungs giving rise difficulty during respiration or deep breathing due to weak lungs and tissues.
Pneumonia takes 4-6 weeks to resolve patches and healing.
Due to less food and liquid intake generalized weakness and fatigue is common.
Do deep breathing exercise to strengthen lungs.
Take high energy food.
Take some B.complex and mutivitamin supplements.
Take rest and avoid exertion for 1-2 weeks more.
Avoid fried, chillies and junk food.
Ok and take care.
