What Causes Edema While On Hydrochlorothiazide And Atenolol?

I am currently taking 25 mg/day of hydrochlorothiazide along with Atenolol for high blood pressure. I am having a lot of edema. Should I go to 50mg? or change prescriptions? and one article said since the woman was allergic to penicillin, she shouldn t be taking the hydro at all. I am allergic to penicillin, too. Am I wrong in taking this drug?

For controlling blood pressure now there are lot of changes. Usualy u should be on either ace inhibiter or Calcium chanel bloker.on the other hand cause for odema shoud be checjed coz it can be deu to heart failure renal cause or local cause.hct usually dont cause odema.
