What Causes Elbow Pains With Bruising And Cramping?

fell on my elbow the other evening...been to hospital had it x-rayed and there is no break....was advised to take ibroprofen and put frozen peas on it to reduce the swelling....i still have all the same pains in my elbow and the swelling has reduced but the bruises are terrible aswell as it being very red...im now starting to get pains up near the top of my arm n cramp running down the bottom of my arm into my hand....is this anything to worry about or is it to be expected ?
