What Causes Electric Shocks In Arm?

I've been having some small electric shocks going through my left arm, and just recently i had a giant shock go through my arm just recently today. Still hurts now, but only seems to have pain in the muscles in my left arm. The pains only seem to come to the left arm. I haven't had any surgeries, but i have broken my left arm.
