What Causes Electrical Zaps In The Head ?

I have recently experienced what seems to be electrical zaps in my head. They are not really painful but rather a dull ache. Usually at night and oftenlast 2-3 hours. Any idea what causes this. I am in good health- eat well and exercise. Non-smoker and only drinkl a glass of wine occasionally. Female- age 59.
