Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Elevated ALT And GFR Levels While On SnoreStop?
I have used SnoreStop for over a year now, almost every night. Sometimes I take one tablet, occasionally two per the entire night. My blood tests came back with an elevated ALT and also GFR reading today, up from last year. Could it possibly be a side-effect of the belladonna in these tablets?
SnoreStop is considered safe. There are no known side effects, drug interactions, or contraindications. It may lessen the sound of the snore, or help open air passages but it is not intended to treat sleep apnea which is considered a serious medical condition. I suggest you to stop the medicine as belladonna can cause liver dysfunction when taken by mouth. Go and see your physician to check if you have sleep apnea or not and get a proper treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sameen Bin Naeem, General & Family Physician
