What Causes Elevated BP Levels Despite Stent Placement In The Circumflex Artery?

I had a stent put in circumflex artery 8 days ago!! And my blood pressure still running160/81 and my pulse is 60-70 bpm !! And the plavix gives me a headache and feel bad!! I m scared the stent is blocked!! I had it done in 2007 but it blocked and the put eluding stent in side of it!! Why am I still feeling bad!! Could it be blocked or Ian I worked up for nothing

I have read your question and here is my advice.

Sorry to hear of your sufferings, in fact stents placed don't decrease your blood pressure, they are not placed for lowering blood pressure rather they are used to normalize blood flow through a narrowed artery. So high BP does not mean that the stent is blocked. You should use drugs to reduce the the BP after discussing with your primary doctor. Yes, plavix can cause headache. Wait it may settle, if not you can talk to your doctor to switch to some other blood thinner.
