What Causes Elevated ESR Levels?

hello doctor , i have tested my blood in which i have found that my esr is 75 what could be the reason . i just wented to the doctor because i had some discomfort with my head like it seems every thing is moving around i have migrane too and thyroid for which iam using thyrox 50 mg . i have endometroisis

Hi,

ESR also known as erythrocyte sedimentation rate is a non specific parameter denoting chronic infection or inflammation. It does not identify the cause of infection but just denotes the presence. Other specific investigations have to be done to identify the cause. ESR is increased in inflammation, anemia, auto-immune disorders (such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus), infections like tuberculosis, some kidney diseases and some cancers.
