What Causes Elevated MCV Level Despite Having A Balanced Diet And Exercise?

My mcv level is elevated to 101 and I m a 38 yr old women who works out 5 days a week for 1 hr 1/2 I am a marathon runner.I do drink but not more than 1 bottle of wine maybe in a full wk...I don t eat red meat much at all maybe 1 x a month. I eat greens.. But more fruit should I be concerned

Noted up to 100 MCV said normal ...
Your value 101 ...So no need for much worry...
Still rule out following causes for high MCV.....
-vitamin b 12 defieny
-alcohol
-liver disease
-hemolytic anemias
-hypothyroidism.

For that peripheral smear examination done.
If target cell seen liver causes or hemoglobinopathy suspected ...
For that USG and electrophoresis done...

Serum b 12 estimation done for megaloblastic anemia....

Limit alcohol.
20gm per day is safe limit....
If constipation there then thyroid profile done for hypothyroid....
