What Causes Elevated SGPT Level After Gallbladder Laparoscopy?

I am 48 years old female, I gone gallbladder laparoscopy since 2007. my sgpt is 254 the doctor prescribed to take Godex for 1 month after one month I got sgpt test again and it lowered to 204 but still it is high. now I take livolin forte. what is your impression in my case with high level of sgpt

Hello,

Please keep in mind that gallbladder disease itself sometimes elevates liver enzymes significantly, and surgery is often done during a hospitalization to treat acute gallbladder issues.

It would not be surprising for liver enzymes to be somewhat elevated initially, only to gradually resolve over several postoperative days. You can continue taking Livolin forte though.
