What Causes Elevated WBC And Lymphocyte Counts While Having Mastitis?
Hello, i dont usually see docs unless i have to. I got mastitis on friday , i got my blood work done. My wbc was 16.4 and my lymph was 12.6 everything else was normal. My question is,is that normal for just an infection? I do have random bruises on my legs , ( i have long before i got mastitis) I just thought I had low iron, but my iron levels are great. So I guess my question is should I be worried about a high wbc or no just because I had an infection?

High white blood cells indicate active infection and it will settle once the infection is controlled.
