What Causes Elevated Blood Lead Levels?

Hi, I have been diagnosed with high lead levels in my blood. 9.1 was the blood test result. I know the cause and have put systems in place. Is there medicine you can recommend or should i take iron and calcium supplements or anything which would help remove it. Cheers Paul.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Lead levels when present in greater amounts in blood takes long time to get cleared from the system.
Since its presence mainly causes anaemia, iron supplementation is a must to keep hemoglobin levels under check. Also, intake of chelating agents like calcium would help to eliminate lead from the body faster as well as reduce its toxic effects.
Hence, it would be advisable to supplement iron and calcium regularly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
